Thai Dip and Relish Recipes
Dipping sauces are known as "nam jim" in Thailand and accompany a great many dishes to help boost their flavor. Nam jim satay, AKA peanut sauce, is served with satay whereas nam jim seafood, a spicy limey dip, is often served with steamed seafood.
Relishes are known as "nam prik" and are usually quite spicy and pungent in flavor. They are meant to be eaten with a variety of raw vegetables and rice. Nam prik gapi is perhaps the most famous of all Thai relishes.
